COMPREHENSIVE NARRATIVE (THE LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK 2017)

The lagos fashion and design week is absolutely a fashion week to anticipate, I always wanted to attend the lagos fashion week but this is my first time and I had an amazing time; I got to socialize and learn new creative things. The lagos fashion and design week is a four days programme, which is organized by style house files and majorly sponsored by Heineken. This fashion show is a big event in Africa, often times people travel all the way from their country in other to attend this event. This year's fashion week was filled with a lot of side attraction such as The fashion business series,  creators lounge, tecno selfie house, bella naija talk show and so on.

At first I was reluctant to attend the event, I even started planning my outfits one week to the event. I had little issue with transportation because I was coming from a distance, so I could not imagine myself spending #6000 everyday on transportation, so I decided to go with my friends,not because of fear of being bored but because of the  transportation cost, we could easily split the money so each of us don't have to spend so much (isn't this smart )

I arrived at the venue of the event; Eko Atlantic.  Got into the tent and searched for the creators lounge in order to sign in so my presence will be recognised and also create contents, then  I took lot of pictures. I met a lot of amazing bloggers, but one of many I was excited to meet was Akinfaminu.

The second day I arrived a bit late, I got into the VIP lounge, the lounge was an amazing sight with beautiful decor, I was given a free drink in the VIP lounge. A sad thing happened when it was time for I and my friends to go home, there was a major struggle when we tried ordering uber, the server was down, it was that day I got to know that taxify was LFDW's official logistics partner, we met the lady in charge and she told us to download the taxify app and connect it to our credit card to get #2000 off our ride.

I took various pictures as usual. When I was sitting announcement was made that we should line up for food. The free small chops was from "the Burgundy stove"

The lagos fashion and design week is a show in which you will find various kind of outfits but despite that known fact some people stayed true to their style such as Akinfaminu, theofficialenkay, serbia_w, theladyvodka
The lady's outfit I looked forward to see was 'tgjonah" she stunned in every outfit.

So many celebrity honoured the event, to mention a few Somkele, denola grey, denrele, Tiwa savage, Beverley Osu, Di'ja, Davido but the person I was excited to see was Linda Ikeji but it was painful because I saw her from a distance.

Bella naija style organized a talk show, which the guest speaker was Bonang Matheba and the first 100 guests were given snacks.

My Top two designers were The style temple and christenbrowngh (FE [MEN] IST). Their designs were very unique and had feature 'class' painted all over it.

There was a photoboot in the VIP lounge and guess who the photographer was? The famous talented kelechi amazing, I must confess his work reminds me that there is hope for the future.

The lagos fashion and design week ended with an after party, where Jidenna was invited to perform, he performed along with Tiwa savage.
   This year's lagos fashion and design week was really amazing and I look forward to next year's fashion week.
